The 10th building and construction exhibition (BUILDEX 2013) kicked-off at Oman International Exhibition Centre today under the patronage of Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan al-Dheeb, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Commerce and Industry. The three-day exhibition is organized by Omanexpo with participation of more than (150) companies specialized in building and construction, besides the local and international participation for more than (18) countries from Turkey, Germany, Italy, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Taiwan, Singapore and India among other countries. The exhibition comes to support the major progress for infrastructure projects in the Sultanate as they managed to attract big companies around the world to view the available investment opportunities. The Omani government is going ahead with expanding its activities at various levels in line of the Sultanate\'s economic vision 2020. Eng. al-Dheeb said that there are a number of developmental projects being executed in the Sultanate as the participating companies will be familiarized with these projects. The exhibition will bring together many global companies specialized in systems of air conditioning, sanitary and construction materials, floor ceramic tiles, cleaning equipment, management solutions, cement products, building vehicles, curtains, furniture, floor materials, as well as companies for heavy vehicles, decorations, kitchen products, marble and stone products, drilling equipment, security and protection systems and wooden products.
