CDSI updates cost of living according to New Year

Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) explained the fundamental changes in record program for the cost of living in Saudi Arabia according to the selected year for 2007. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), CDSI said the indices pointed out that the cost of living for the month of September was (142.6) points against (141.7) compared to month of August of this year, reflecting an increase in the index in September with (0.6%) compared to the index in August. CDSI said that during last September the index of goods and other services rose by 1.6%; foods and beverages by 1%; and renovation, rent, fuel and water by 0.2%; fabrics, apparel, footwear, furnishing, transportation, communication, education and entertainment by 0.1%, while medical care sector remained at the previous level of prices.
