
Workers restore the interior of the Old Synagogue in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, April 12, 2014. The renovation of the Old Synagogue, which started on August 25, 2013, will come to a close this May. The restored synagogue will be transformed into a public odeum. Completed in 1909, the Old Synagogue was damaged by a fire in 1931 and ever rebuilt shortly after. The Synagogue, which was closed in 1963, was used as hospitals and hotels with its interior badly damaged.
