
An official Chinese trade delegation is visiting Bahrain to discuss investment and industrial policies, the country's semi-private investment policy formulating body said in a statement on Tuesday.
"They intend to discuss the Kingdom's investment climate, industrial policies, as well as advantages of setting up businesses in the country," said the statement released by the Economic Development Board, an agency responsible for making future economic development strategy of the country.
The delegation consists of representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, commerce and industry chamber of China's Hunan Province, along with those from such sectors as construction, new and solar energy.
The delegation, which is on a four-day trip, is expected to visit the Bahrain Logistics Zone and Bahrain International Investment Park amongst other relevant industrial zones.
A number of leading Chinese companies, including Huawei, Bank of China, have already opened their branch offices in the Middle East country.
China is currently the third largest market for Bahraini exports outside of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the year of 2014 marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
