COMEX 2013 will kick-off on March 25th at Oman International Exhibition Centre. The five-day exhibition will be organized by Oman International Trade and Exhibition (OITE) and sponsored by the Information Technology Authority (ITA). Ahmed Saleh Ba Aboud, CEO of OITE said that the exhibition will highlight the latest innovations, technologies, products, services and solutions through three main gates, namely COMEX works, e-governmental services and COMEX shopper. He added that the exhibition will also showcase a number of products and innovative solutions in information and communication technology (ICT), besides availing opportunities to boost businesses and investments and facilitate interaction with counterparts, business partners and visitors. Ba Aboud pointed out that the exhibition will be divided into two main pavilions, the first of which will be for the e-government services. The second pavilion, COMEX Shopper, offers visitors the chance to purchase the latest technology, gadgets and consumer electronics under one roof. He further said that COMEX 2013 will witness attendance and participation of elite experts and specialists in areas related to technology, products, services and solutions. CEO of OITE affirmed that the exhibition will provide variety in the displayed choices for the visitors, as well as an opportunity to exchange expertise and knowledge, in addition to building and enhancing relations of cooperation and partnership between the participant companies and the Omani consumer. He also said that the exhibition will also provide an opportunity for governmental institutions, private establishments and individuals to get acquainted with the latest innovations at these companies in a bid to serve their approach towards e-world as the contemporary life necessitates finding an alternative for traditional services and transactions.
