
British Secretary of State for International Development Justine Greening said that the Development for International Development (DFID) would provide support to Pakistan within the economic domain, an official press release stated here on Thursday. Justine Greening said that DFID would work closely with the Government of Pakistan to overcome the economic challenges faced by the country. The initial steps taken by the Government of Pakistan were \"impressive, setting the right momentum and the tone,\" she added. During her meeting with Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, expressed her delight that Pakistan would be one of the first countries into which Her Majesty\'s Custom Service would share its expertise for expanding tax net. The Finance Minister, on this occasion, said that Pakistan valued the UK\'s DFID Programme in Pakistan and briefed the delegation on the steps taken by the Government of Pakistan to reset the economy and address macro-economic imbalances.
