Drydocks World and ABB ink agreement

Drydocks World will have a dedicated service point for ABB turbochargers in the Drydocks World facility in Dubai. To mark this cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the  Shipbuilding, Machinery and  Marine Technology (SMM 2012 Expo) in Hamburg, one of Europe’s leading maritime exhibitions, where Drydocks World had its largest-ever representation at the show this year. The signing ceremony was held at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, in the presence of Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmoud, Ambassador of the UAE to Germany, and senior officials of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the officials of the two companies and delegates. The service agreement will be signed in October 2012. “ABB has been a loyal business partner and we are delighted to take this co-operation  to a new level. The co-operation will help us offer faster and better quality services and will be beneficial to all our clients. This is an initiative to support our long term business strategy and helps it to be more customer-focused, and high advanced technical services,” said Khamis Juma Buamim, chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.
