
Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khaled Hanafi said the ministry continues to negotiate with a number of world nations including Sudan to import large quantities of meat to be on sale at cooperative stores at low prices for citizens all year long.
In statements following three separate meetings with the ambassadors of Georgia and Cyprus and the Director of Itijahat Sudanese Company Saad el-Hayani, the minister cited an alliance with Sudan in the field of foodstuffs and meat. The talks between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir tackled means to enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries, he said.
He added that his meetings aimed at promoting economic and trade relations with Georgia and Cyprus and increasing food cooperation with Sudan.
