The present visit of a high-level Egyptian ministerial delegation to China sends a message that Egypt is open to investments from any place in the world and from China in particular, Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour said.
Speaking during a dinner banquet hosted by Egyptian Ambassador to China Magdi Amer Monday, Abdel-Nour said he hopes the delegation’s mission becomes successful in attracting Chinese investments to Egypt.
For his part, Amer said the visit also aims to prepare the economic file ahead of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit of China planned to take place two weeks later.
In March or April, Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Egypt to resume talks on any remaining issues, he said.
The visiting Egyptian delegation also comprises the ministers of electricity, transport and international cooperation.
