
Turkey\'s EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said, Turkey has spent 1.5 billion USD for Syrian people and only 6.9 million USD of it came from the EU andEU countries. In a meeting with Turkish Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Director General Fuat Oktay, Bagis said Turkey has shown the real meaning of Ramadan and 200 thousand Syrian people were sheltered in 21 diffferent camps and 300 thousand Syrian people have been living in Turkey. Turkey has spent 1.5 billion USD for Syrian people and only 6.9 million USD of it came from EU andEU countries. -UN and EU demanded Turkey\'s camp system Oktay said \"As Turkey, we established a system and the United Nations and European Union demanded this system. We are not only providing sheltering and nutritional support but also we provide educational services, hospitals and many other things in the camps.\" \"As an example, in the camps, we have 30 thousand students, over 1,600 teachers, over 1,300 ambulatory care services and over 25 thousand medical operations were performed,\" said Oktay. Oktay shared the figures of countries which helped Turkey in the process of sheltering Syrian people. They are as follows: Austria: 25 thousand USD France: 145 thousand USD German Red Cross: 500 thousand USD Swedish Red Cross: 20 thousand USD British Red Cross: 1.5 million USD Dutch Red Cross: 2.46 million USD Norwegian Red Cross: 1.6 million USD Belgium: 650 thousand USD
