Germany allocated this year 12 million euros for Egypt out of the 50 million euros allocated to support the democratic transformation projects in six countries including Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, morocco, Jordan and Yemen.
In a press release, German Ambassador in Cairo Hans Joerg Haber said the aid comes within a German initiative titled German-Arab Transformation Partnership.
He also asserted the importance of engaging NGOs in public work field in Egypt because the civil society is considered an important factor that helps in stabilizing the society.
He added that Germany is working with NGOs that work within the Egyptian constitution framework and aim for a better future in Egypt.
