Grain futures were mostly lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday, the day ahead of the weekly supply/demand report. With the dollar index ticking up just 0.11 percent to 82.53, corn was off 6 to off 10 1/2, soybeans were off 1 to off 1 1/2, wheat was off 1 1/4 to up 1/4 and oats were off 3 to off 11 1/4. Corn found support from reports of continued dry weather in China, but traders positioned themselves for the Tuesday release of the supply/demand report. Wheat prices were mixed as estimates of winter wheat production continue to trend lower. Soybean futures fell slightly as reports of cooler, wet weather in the forecast is expected to drop miss the eastern half of the Midwest. The prices: Corn: Jly 5.92 off 6, Sep 5.40 1/2 off 10 1/2, Dec 5.34 off 10, Mar 5.46 off 10. Soybeans: Jly 14.24 3/4 off 1 1/2, Aug 13.99 off 1 1/2, Sep 13.61 off 1, Nov 13.31 1/4 off 1 1/4. Wheat: Jly 6.30 1/2 up 1/4, Sep 6.48 1/4 up 1/4, Dec 6.71 3/4 off 1, Mar 6.93 1/2 off 1 1/4. Oats: Jly 2.95 1/4 off 8, Sep 2.91 1/2 off 11 1/4, Dec 2.88 1/2 off 8 3/4, Mar 2.97 1/2 off 3.
