Iran, Georgia to further expand economic cooperation

Head of Iran\'s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Mohammad Nahavandian accompanied by an economic delegation comprising 30 economic activists arrived in Tbilisi, Georgian capital, on Saturday to take part in the Iran-Georgia Economic Seminar. Nahavandian is scheduled to tour the country\'s industrial units and discuss with Georgian officials ways of promoting mutual cooperation between the two states\' private sectors. He is accompanied by representatives of various sectors including transportation, construction, agriculture, animal husbandry, foodstuff, tourism and auto-making during his visit. Iran and Central Asia have in recent years accelerated their efforts to expand bilateral and regional cooperation in all the various fields. In November 2010, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili underlined the Islamic Republic of Iran\'s important role in the regional and international developments.
