Iran\'s cement production remarkably growing

A senior Iranian official announced that the country\'s cement output experienced a remarkable increase after inauguration of several cement production plants in recent years.Self-sufficiency in meeting the country\'s need to cement and increasing the cement output to above 70 million tons is an important achievement for Iran, Deputy Industry, Mine and Trade Minister for Mines and Mineral Industries Affairs Vajihollah Ja\'fari said.\"Extensive efforts have taken place in mineral industries section in the ninth and tenth governments and in the fields of tile, ceramic, chinaware and glass products we have acted quite well,\" he said.In August 2011, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced that Iran has joined the world cement exporters club after building numerous cement factories across the country.\"Today our country has become a main exporter of cement,\" Ahmadinejad said at a ceremony held to inaugurate the second phase of a cement factory in Orumiyeh, Northwestern Iran, in mid August.
