Secretary General of the Agriculture Ministry Radi Tarawneh said that the Iraqi market could be opened for Jordanian agricultural products in 10 day. He told Petra that agricultural crops in the Ghour Al Safi region, prompted the government to take a number of measures to ease the negative impact of low prices of agricultural products in the local market on Jordanian farmers. Tarawneh said the ministry made contacts with the Iraqi side to open the Iraqi market for Jordanian products, adding the Iraqi market is one of the strategic markets for Jordanian agricultural crops. The secretary general said that a Jordanian delegation will visit this week with the aim of promoting Jordanian agricultural products in the neighboring country.
