Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport broke its daily passenger flow record with over 80,000 travellers on Sunday, the airport’s management agency has revealed.
Sabiha Gokcen Airport, Istanbul's main air hub on the Asian side of the city, saw 80,817 passengers on Sunday.
Airport manager, Gokhan Bugday said there had been a rise in passenger traffic after schools closed for the summer last week.
“We hope to see this number increase more and break new records in the near future. What we aim to do is to give the best service to our customers who choose to travel through Sabiha Gokcen Airport,” he added.
