Japan's Ambassador in Cairo Takehiro Kagawa inked a grant agreement with a local charity in Wahat.
The $102,961 grant will fund the establishment of a clinic and a water station in a village in Baweiti township.
The planned facilities will serve other near villages.
The Japanese diplomat said during the signing ceremony that his government will offer more grants to Egypt.
