Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) President Hamdi Tabaa on Monday met with Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan Hassan Abdul Khaleq and discussed prospects for further economic and trade cooperation. They underlined the need for governments to facilitate the movement of products between the Kingdom and Morocco and encourage tourists to visit the two countries, noting that an agreement between the two sides will be signed soon to operate a regular marine route between the two states. Talks also covered means to benefit from the Kingdom’s geographical location in transporting the Moroccan products to the Gulf and Asian countries, while making use of Morocco’s location to penetrate the African and European markets. Jordan’s exports to Morocco reached around JD11 million last year, compared with JD12 million imports from the country.
