Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Transport Minister Alaa Bataynah will take part in the World Energy Forum which opens in Dubai on Tuesday under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Bataynah told Petra that the forum aims to devise a roadmap for international energy sustainability that benefits all countries and nations and support economic and social development around the world. He said the forum, which is attended by heads of states and governments as well as energy ministers, will focus on world energy policies and sustainable energy resources and means of acquiring them. The two-day event will discuss financing mechanisms that aim at developing energy projects , infrastructure, and facing challenges in order to acheive sustainable future. Bataynah will deliver a speech at the forum in which he will highlight international efforts to use renewable energy through developing energy technologies.
