
The president of the Jordanian Business Association (JBA),Hamdi Tabaa, called for promoting economic and investment ties between Jordanand Pakistan.During a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador to Jordan Ahsan Azhar Hayat, Tabaaurged Pakistani businessmen to visit Jordan to look into the available investmentopportunities and discuss means to boost trade exchange between the two countries.He said the JBA was ready to provide all facilities and data that would help Pakistanibusinessmen to set up investment projects in the Kingdom and benefit from the freetrade agreements signed by Jordan with various economic blocs.They also discussed the possibility of establishing a Pakistani plant to producefertilizers in the Kingdom and export these to the Pakistani market.The ambassador stressed the need to further boost economic ties between the twocountries and increase the trade exchange which did not exceed $6 million last year.
