Kish Island in the Persian Gulf will host a conference of scholars and traders from 20 Muslim countries in the coming days in a bid to facilitate trade cooperation and transactions among them. "The conference will be held on May 3-4 on Kish Island," Secretary of Muslim World's Traders Union Abdollah Sohrabi said on Wednesday. Sohrabi noted that the first goal for holding the conference is to improve business transactions among Muslim states, reinforce solidarity and promote Islam in remote parts of the world through Halal (religiously permissible) business as well as development of Muslim societies to help them remove poverty. A sum of 60 Muslim traders and scholars from 20 countries, including Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Britain and Afghanistan will take part in the conference.
