Kuwait Industries Union (KIU) encourages the youth to get involved in the industrial and production processes within the private sector, which offers numerous privileges, KIU chairman stressed Sunday. Hussein Al-Kharafi said in a seminar on the future of Kuwaiti young people, KIU always strives to utilize the youth potentials, since the youth demography at KIU takes 85 percent of its employees. KIU and Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) signed an agreement to hire and train 20 male and female graduates to work in the industrial sector, Al-Kharafi added. He stressed the importance of the Ministry of Commerce and the Industrial Bank of Kuwait's roles in supporting the young people by paving the way for them to have careers in these sectors. He also added that all hurdles that might be encountered along the way should be eliminated. On his part, National Industries Company Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Adel Khaled Al Subeih said in the same seminar that the industry and production sectors should provide a nurturing environment for the youth since only a small portion of them get involved in these realms.
