Korean finance minister to meet with private sector experts

South Korea\'s finance minster will hold a regular luncheon meeting with private-sector experts to exchange views on the current economic and financial market situations, his spokesman said Tuesday. Finance Minister Bahk Jae-wan will hold the first meeting on Wednesday with senior officials of the Financial Services Commission and the Bank of Korea along with experts from the private sector that include those from think tanks and securities firms, spokesman Hong Nam-ki told reporters during his weekly briefing. \"This meeting will be held behind closed doors and there will be no press release that briefs on what was discussed,\" Hong said. He still noted that participants will discuss the latest financial market situations at home and abroad and exchange views on risk factors confronting the nation\'s economy. The meeting comes amid growing volatility in financial markets caused by worries that the global economy might slip back into a recession. The stock and currency markets here have been suffering sharp fluctuations recently.
