Korean firms\' direct financing up 48% in October

Direct financing by South Korean companies rose 47.9 percent in October from a month earlier on the back of share floating, the financial watchdog said Thursday. Local firms raised 16.01 trillion won (US$15.1 billion) by issuing stocks and bonds last month, compared with 10.83 trillion won the previous month, according to the Financial Supervisory Service
