Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) provided aid and food supplies to 450 Sri Lankans who are set for deportation, said an official here Wednesday. Head of disaster management at the KRCS Yousif Al-Me'raj told KUNA that the Sri Lankan nationals were residing at their country's embassy, adding that their deportation was due to violations against laws here. The KRCS, said the official, provided necessities to the Sri Lankans who were living under dire conditions at the embassy. He indicated that KRCS Director Barjas Al-Barjas and Sri Lankan Ambassador to Kuwait C.A.H.M. Wijeratne were discussing measures to facilitate the departure of the Sri Lankans.
