
Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Sunday stressed Kuwait's keenness on joint work with Saudi Arabia in the light of the initiatives of Saudi King for devising strategies for youth development in Islamic countries. "Young people are cared for by all due to what they represent and their important role in the progress of nations and future, the interest in youth is the road to success," Sheikh Salman told KUNA and Kuwait State Television after his arrival. The minister expressed his pleasure for being in Saudi Arabia and in participating in the Second OIC meeting for Ministers of Youth and Sports, hoping that the conference achieves its objectives and be crowned with success. Sheikh Salman expressed his thanks to the Saudi Kingdom for the warm reception to him and to his accompanying delegation. For his part, the President of the Saudi General Presidency of Youth Welfare Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahad said that the Kingdom is keen on reuniting young Muslims, pointing out that the hosting of this conference confirms that. Prince Nawaf expressed pleasure for having all the participants in the conference under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who always support anything that would benefit all Islamic countries, adding that the conference witnessed participation of about 45 Islamic states. Earlier, Sheikh Salman arrived here, heading a delegation to the second conference for youth and sports ministers of the OIC states, due on March 17-18.
