In response to a humanitarian appeal issued by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in solidarity with Syrian refugees, the state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has organized a fund-raising campaign in its companies. Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), a KPC affiliate, has spearheaded the campaign and topped the list of donors with USD 250,000. The donations were raised by the company staff and a check of the sum was presented to Abdullah Al Nouri Charity Association. Similar donation-raising events were organized at the premises of all Kuwait Petroleum Corporation subsidiaries to help alleviate suffering of desperate Syrian refugees. The move is also part of a nationwide campaign organized over three days this week by Kuwait Relief Organization (KRO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Information and scores of government and non-government bodies for the same purpose.
