Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8) is eager to pursue oil related project in Vietnam, said a company official here Saturday. Q8's Chairman of the Board Hussein Ismail said in an exclusive statement to KUNA that the Q8 and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) boards gave their initial approval on establishing a refinery complex and a petrochemical plant south of Hanoi, adding that negotiations with the Vietnamese side were still on-going. The official noted that funding from international banks was expected within a month period and for the final step, both boards for Q8 and KPC would have to give their final approval for the project.
