A majority of the French population were in favor of the Socialist government's reshuffle, hoping for a change in policy that could bring them better income and more jobs, according to BVA survey. Released late on Monday, the poll conducted for l'Express, Orange and France inter showed 79 percent of French citizens called for a new cabinet with more than two thirds claimed a new prime minister. Asked about their appreciation of the government's policy, 83 percent of respondents believe it was not effective with 73 percent denounced an unfair policy. The BVA poll questioned 992 respondents earlier in March 23 during the first round of French local elections. After a short promising start, French President Francois Hollande's approval rating tumbled from 60 percent to 28 percent making him France's most unpopular head of state as French people are losing faith on his recovery pledges and doubt he can transform a political rhetoric into concrete vision.
