Algerian Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci announced Monday his country’s readiness to revive ties and resume cooperation with the post-revolution Libya. “Algeria is ready for cooperation and dealing with the new Libya in all domains,” he said. Talking to reporters in a ceremony held here on the occasion of the National Day of Algerian Diplomacy, Medelci said: “Sunday’s attack on the Algerian Embassy in Tripoli is not a big deal and we are willing to let bygones be bygones to start a new chapter in relations with our Arab-African neighbor.” Earlier on Sunday, a group of Libyans vandalized the Algerian Embassy building in Tripoli after football match between the two countries in the ACN 2013 qualifiers. “We hope Libyans would rebuild their country’s institutions soon and believe they are on the right track,” the Algerian Foreign Minister said.
