
Casablanca – Morocco should be selective in attracting foreign direct investment(FDI), by analyzing the socio-economic benefits and the technology transfer, saidThursday in Casablanca, Henry Marty- Gauquié, representative of the Europeaninvestment Bank (EIB).Speaking at the 1st Economic Forum organized by the Circle of Economists, Marty-Gauquié called on Morocco to be selective in attracting FDI, to invest in theeducation system, and to urgently reform the pensions fund.“Morocco has valued its comparative advantages and its strategic position,” saidMarty-Gauquié, noting that the Kingdom understood early on the need to implementgovernance and social reforms.The EIB representative noted that these reforms have led to political stability,continued growth, and high-level trade and political relations with the EuropeanUnion.
