Italy\'s next government must set as its top priority that of cutting the fiscal load on its citizens over the next five-year legislature, according to Italian Industry Minister Corrado Passera. Italy holds its next general election in the spring. \"In order to reduce taxes, it\'s true we need to pay less of them, but everyone needs to pay them,\" Passera said at a conference in the Tuscan town of Arezzo. \"If in the past 20 years we had reduced fiscal evasion to half the current levels, we would have been a country able to afford anything\".
