Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the leaders of the Group of 20 Friday to secure new sources of economic growth and increase employment in their nations, dpa reported. \"Only through development can we avoid a relapse of the crisis an secure long-term sustainability of the economy,\" he told the second day of the G20 summit at the Constantine Palace outside St Petersburg. He pointed to overall levels of unemployment within the G20 that remain higher than before the start of the financial crisis in 2008 and particularly acute unemployment among youth. He called for a \"systematic approach\" to employment policy tied to economic growth and social policies.
