
Trade and Research Committee at Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior, held the second joint meeting at its headquarters to discuss ways of facilitating procedures and resolving problems that faced the private sector. The meeting was attended by QCCI Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed al Thani, QCCI Board Member and Head of Trade and Research Committee, Mohammed bin Mahdi Al -Ahbabi and a number of representatives of construction companies and consultants. Al -Ahbabi stressed that the Qatar Chamber always seeks and makes every effort in order to overcome obstacles and resolve problems faced the private sector. It also adopts proposals and recommendations and submit them to the relevant authorities in the State. For his part, Major Hussain Aman Al Ali, Assistant Director of the Fire Prevention Department at the General Directorate of Civil Defense said that his department has increased its personnel and trained them in order to achieve a large number of tasks. At the close of the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed al Thani, suggested the organizing of a number training sessions and workshops on requirements of security and safety for owners of engineering consulting offices and construction companies .
