Qatari-Ukrainian talks

A session of official talks was held today between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Ukraine under HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bi Khalifa Al-Thani and Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. The session was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani and a number of ministers. On the Ukrainian side the session was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the president. Talks during the session dealt with relations between the two countries and means of developing them. A number of regional and international issues of mutual concern were also reviewed. Afterwards, HH the Emir presented the Ukrainian President with the Necklace of Independence. For his part the Ukrainian President presented HH the Emir with the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise. HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Ukrainian President and his accompanying delegation. The Ukrainian President arrived at the Emiri Diwan before the talks and was accorded official welcome protocols.
