Safari Mall in Abu Hamour has celebrated its second anniversary on October 18. A host of events were held to mark the occasion. Among the highlights was a food festival, featuring cuisines from South Asia and Arab countries. Nepal Ambassador Maya Sharma, and Bangladesh embassy charge de affaires Mohamed Nasir Uddin, and Sri Lankan embassy deputy chef de mission Sithara Khan were among the guests. A formal cake cutting was held and several people whose birthday fell on October 18, were honoured with special gifts by the management. A free medical seminar and health check-up was also held. A painting competition and recipe contest were among the other events. Winners were adjudged by city’s prominent chefs and they were given fabulous prizes. Every contestant was given a consolation prize.
