
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has started Wednesday a working visit to the province of Tindouf (around 2000-km southwest of Algiers), as part of the implementation of the programme of President of the Republic Abdelaziz. During this visit, Sellal will inspect and launch several socio-economic projects, and will assess the progress made in projects in the sectors of agriculture, housing, higher education, youth and sports, water resources, energy and public works. The Premier has started his visit at the 17-hectare farm of \"Aissani brothers\" at the agricultural area of Guerrair El-Harth, and which was created as part of the agriculture development programmes. He will then inspect the power plant of Merkala, which is endowed with six 9-Megawatt generators. Sellal will also assess the progress of the construction works of Tindouf-Adrar road, which stretches over 1,107 kilometres, before launching the works of the water demineralization plant aiming at improving the quality of drinking water. At the end of his visit, the Premier will chair a meeting broadened to the representatives of civil society, during which he will listen to the concerns and aspirations of the citizens of this province. Sellal is accompanied by Minister of Interior and Local Authorities Daho Ould Kablia, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Rachid Benaissa, Minister of Energy and Mining Youcef Yousfi, Minister of Housing and Urban Development Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Water Resources Hocine Necib, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Rachid Harraoubia and Minister of Youth and Sports Mohamed Tahmi.
