A senior Iranian economic official said his country's lucrative market and its good diplomatic performance on the international scenes has persuaded several countries worldwide to dispatch economic delegations to Tehran. Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mehdi Mir Aboutalebi said a Chinese economic delegation is planning to pay an official visit to Iran early in March to discuss ways of expanding mutual cooperation and investment. He further added that some other delegations from Germany, the Netherlands and Spain are scheduled to travel to Iran in April to confer on ways for broadening mutual economic and trade cooperation. Earlier this month, Head of Iran-Russia Joint Chamber Assadollah Asgaroladi announced that a Russian trade delegation is slated to visit Iran soon in a bid to explore new opportunities for boosting and bolstering bilateral ties and interactions. Also early on February 3, a large delegation of French businessmen with 140 members arrived in the Iranian capital to explore avenues for expanding all-out ties with Tehran.
