
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with founder and head of the largest German company specialized in designing and manufacturing of drilling machines and building tunnels to discuss cooperation, presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef.
The meeting tackled the outcome of contacts with the company during the past period to dig tunnels as part of a giant national projects carried out by Egypt, Yousef said.
Sisi stressed the need to train Egyptian engineers on using giant drilling machines.
Head of the German company has voiced recognition for Egypt's role in the region, Yousef said.
Present at the meeting were Cabinet Advisor for Transportation and Tunnels Hany Azer and Major General Kamel Al-Waziri, the chief of staff of the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority.
