Two shareholders’ agreements were signed Monday in Algiers by public companies under the holding company Consumet (steel construction) and two Portuguese companies to particularly manufacture in Algeria hydrocarbon storage equipment and steel cladding for buildings. The first agreement was signed by Batimetal group and the National Company of Framework and Boilermaking (ENCC) for the Algerian side and Amal group for the Portuguese side. The signing ceremony was chaired by Minister of Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion Cherif Rahmani. The agreement provides for the design and production at Hassi Ameur factory in Oran (432-km west of Algiers), of downstream oil facilities, particularly hydrocarbon storage tanks which are still imported by Algeria, said the minister. The second agreement, signed by Batimatel and Portuguese company Cober Metal, provides for the design and production at a factory located in Ain Defla of self-supporting and cladding roofing for all types of industrial buildings, including sport, administrative, industrial and socio-educational complexes.
