
Tunisian Interim President Moncef Marzouki held extended bilateral talks with visiting Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani at Carthage Palace, addressing economic and financial cooperation between the two countries, establishing Qatari investments at Tunisia, and future prospects. The Tunisian-Qatari talks also addressed depth of relations between the two countries, Tunisian Presidency noted in a statement late Thursday, adding that President Marzouki invited Qatari investors to establish investment projects in his country, especially since Tunisia''''s successful crystallization of its democratic transition standard, which was crowned by holding free, fair, and multi-party elections. The meeting was attended by Minister to the Cabinet in Charge of Follow-Up and Economic Affairs Nidhal Warfali and Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Faisal Quwaiaa for the Tunisian side, while the Qatari side was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Atiyah, Minister of Finance Ali Sharif Al-Imadi, and Qatari Amir''''s accompanying high-level delegation. Following his arrival at Tunisia''''s Presidential Airport, the Qatari Amir said in a released statement that his visit to Tunisia will contribute in boosting bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as strengthen bilateral cooperation to which serves the interests of the people of Qatar and Tunisia. In addition, he expressed "delight" to meet President Marzouki to exchange views and consult on issues of concern to the two countries and the Arab Nation.
