Between July and August the procedures will be completed for public competitions for the hiring of 25,000 young people for jobs within the Tunisian public administration. This measure was announced by the government as part of the measures to fight high unemployment especially among the young, many of whom are highly educated in Tunisia. Among those hired there will also be members of certain categories, such as families of the \'\'martyrs\'\' and people injured in the \'\'revolution\'\'. Constituent Assembly members have asked that rigorous control mechanisms be put in place for the various phases of the competition, and that within the latter there be Tunisian civil society organisations. Another request made by Constituent Assembly members in the attempt to ensure fairness for those wanting to be selected is the publication of the lists of those admitted to the competition, as well as those excluded. Among the proposals for the modification of the draft law providing for public competitions and the hiring of employees is one which would make special exceptions possible for those not within the established age limits.
