Turkey\'s Industrial Turnover Index increased by 2 percent in March 2013 compared with the same month in the previous year. Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) announced Industrial Turnover Index for March 2013. Industrial Turnover Index in March 2013 increased by 2 percent compared with the same month in the previous year. In the sub sectors of industry, mining and quarrying index remained the same while manufacturing index was increased by 2.1 percent in March 2013 compared with same month of the previous year. According to Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs) Classification, the highest increase took place in capital goods and the highest decrease occurred in energy in March 2013. Sub-sectors of manufacturing industry When the change rates of Industrial Turnover Index in March 2013 compared with March of 2012 are inspected, the highest increase occurred in the manufacture of other transport equipment by 62.8 percent, followed by manufacture of wood and products of wood and cork (except furniture) by 16.6 percent. Meanwhile, the highest decrease in the change rates of Industrial Turnover Index was in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 30.2 percent.
