Caglayan addressed Turkish and Zambian businesspeople who gathered in the Turkey-Zambia Trade and Investment Forum in Istanbul. Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan on Saturday addressed Turkish and Zambian businesspeople who gathered in the Turkey-Zambia Trade and Investment Forum in Istanbul, which was also participated by Zambian Trade Minister Robert Sichinga. Caglayan said Turkey was ready to cooperate in every field with Zambia including education and health, saying, "Turkey is open for you seven days 24 hours." Caglayan said Turkey and Zambia had a trade volume of 120 million USD, adding that Turkey's imports from Zambia amounted to 114 million USD, 103 million USD of which was copper imports. Caglayan also said the Turkish Airlines was set to launch direct flights to the Zambian capital, Lusaka, adding that Turkey's support to the African countries would continue to boost trade relations.
