
Turkey's overall export unit value index decreased 1.2 percent in October compared to this time last year, TurkStat, Turkey's statistical authority, announced on Wednesday. The overall export unit value index decreased by 1.2 percent. In October this year, compared to October 2012, while the index for “food, beverages and tobacco” and “manufactured goods" increased by 5.4 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, the index for “crude materials (except fuels)” and “fuels” decreased by 0.5 percent and 4.7 percent, respectively. - The overall import unit value index decreased by 1.9 percent From October 2012 to October 2013, the overall import unit value index decreased by 1.9 percent. In October 2013 compared to October last year, the index for “manufactured goods” increased by 1.6 percent, the index for “food, beverages and tobacco”, “crude materials (except fuels)” and “fuels” decreased by 4.7 percent, 2.4 percent and 7 percent, respectively. -The overall export volume index decreased by 7.2 per cent The overall export volume index decreased by 7.2 percent in October 2013 compared to October last year. Compared with October 2012, while the index for “food, beverages and tobacco”, “crude materials (except fuels)” and “manufactured goods” increased by 1.2 percent, 7.7 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively, the index for “fuels” and “commodities not classified elsewhere in SITC” decreased by 31.2 percent and 86 percent, respectively. - The overall import volume index increased by 5.7 percent In October 2013, the overall import volume index compared to October 2012 increased by 5.7 percent. While the index for “food, beverages and tobacco”, “crude materials (except fuels)” and “fuels” decreased by 4.7 percent, 3.4 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively, the index for “manufactured goods” and “commodities not classified elsewhere in SITC” increased by 5.2 percent and 232.4 percent, respectively.
