
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, met today with an economic and trade delegation headed by Tadeusz Truskolaski, Mayor of Bialystok, Poland, and discussed ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially on the economic, trade and investment levels. During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry, the two sides focused discussion on the opportunities and possibilities to engage in investment partnerships between businessmen in both countries to establish joint investment projects either in the two countries or in others, especially in agriculture and infrastructure sectors. At the meeting, Al Mansouri emphasised the depth of relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Poland, noting that the two countries have great opportunities to increase the volume of trade exchange and seize investment opportunities, as well as the establishment of major projects in all sectors to access to new markets for export. He also noted to the importance of the UAE-Poland Business Forum organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) last December, in the presence of a crowd of ministers, dignitaries and representatives of private sector companies, which was held to coincide with the official visit of Bronislaw Koumurvska, President of the Republic of Poland to the U.A.E. For his part, Tadeusz Truskolaski affirmed the keen interest of his country to develop bilateral relations with the U.A.E., especially on the economic, trade and investment levels, pointing out that the U.A.E. has the abilities and potential to be the most important non-European trading partner of Poland in the world. The Polish officials congratulated the U.A.E. on winning its bid to host EXPO2020, which reflects the confidence of the world of the U.A.E. potentials and capabilities in general, and Dubai in particular, for hosting and organising major international events, expressing his confidence that EXPO 2020 will be an impressive show, especially at the level of organisation and in the volume of participation. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials in the Ministry of Economy, Adam Kachimovski, Ambassador of Poland, and members of the Polish delegation, which includes a number of officials, businessmen and investors, especially in agriculture, infrastructure and services sectors.
