The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the UAE reached 117.24 in November 2012, and with comparison with the base year (2007 =100); it decrease by 0.05% compared to its value at the end of October 2012, while it increased by 0.51% compared to its value at the end of November 2011, National Bureau of Statistics said in a press release. According to the Bureau, the findings of the CPI for November 2012 at the national level indicate decreases in the following major expenditure groups: - Food and Soft Drinks 0.87 % At the same time, there were increases in other major expenditure groups, as follows: - Beverages and tobacco 15.94% - Textiles, clothing and footwear 0.52% - Housing 0.02% -Transportation 0.06% -Furniture and household goods 0.06% -Miscellaneous goods and services 0.16% At the emirate level, the CPI fluctuated considerably in the various emirates as shown below: - Abu Dhabi 1 -0.10% - Dubai 2 +0.05% - Sharjah -0.15 % - Ajman +0.16 % - Umm Al-Quwain -0.47% - Ras Al-Khaimah -0.07 % - Fujairah +0.08%
