The five-day exhibition’s theme is “Integrated Industry,” which brings together 11 leading trade fairs focusing on recent developments in the various industrial sectors. These entities represent the government and private sectors that includes industrial and exporters companies. The UAE’s economic, business, and investment environment and opportunities will be highlighted and UAE company products and services showcased. More than 200,000 visitors primarily ranking government officials, business leaders, and investors from Germany and the rest of the world attend the exhibition. On April 9, the 2nd UAE Investment ‘&’ Business Forum will be held during the exhibition. ADDED and its partners will highlight the benefits and advantages that the UAE Economic Vision 2021 offers. The UAE delegation will feature the UAE’s efforts to create a balanced, diversified, and sustainable knowledge-based economy that enhances the competitiveness of the nation in the global economy. Hamad Abdullah Al Mas, executive director of International Economic Relations at the department stated that the UAE pavilion, sponsored by the department, has the largest area compared to its previous participations- 650 square metres, located in the heart of the Hannover Messe, including 24 Emirati companies representing public and private sectors, and industrial and exportation companies. He pointed out that the Messe makes an annual important opportunity for the participant Emirati companies to showcase their products and services and requirements related to technology transfer and knowledge in order to develop and strengthen the industrial product in the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular. Al Mas added that the exhibition is an ideal platform to promote elements of the national economy of the UAE and investment opportunities, incentives and facilities provided for investors and businessmen, particularly in the industrial sector. He stated that the UAE’s earlier participation in the Hannover Messe made the UAE pavilion an important asset and a prime pillar of the exhibition in Hannover, as it attracts a large number of visitors, ranging from senior government officials from the participant countries to senior businessmen and investors, especially in the Federal Republic of Germany.Al Mas added that the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) will organise in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and its partners present at the UAE pavilion the “second Emirati Forum for Investment and Business” on the sidelines of the exhibition to highlight the investment projects in the UAE. He added that the forum will also promote the UAE Vision 2021, mainly in the areas of growth and development of the industrial sector. He explained that the forum will also contribute to informing the decision-makers and global business leaders of the efforts of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in achieving its vision of 2030, a vision aimed at creating a diversified, balanced, sustainable knowledge-based economy, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the emirate at a global scale.
