Unemployment, economy, corruption main worries of Spaniards

Unemployment and the current economic situation remain two of the main worries of the majority of Spaniards, it was revealed on Wednesday. A monthly study published by Spain\'s Center for Sociological Investigation showed that unemployment is by far the biggest worry in the country with 82.4 percent of those asked showing serious concern over the job market. This is a slight rise on the previous study when unemployment worried 80.7 of those asked. 65 percent of those asked said it was either \"very unlikely\" or \"unlikely\" they would find a job over the next 12 months. 30.7 percent of those asked said they were worried by corruption. A total of 34.9 percent of those asked were worried about the economy and 90.6 percent of respondents described the economic situation as \"bad\" or \"very bad.\" There is little hope the situation may improve in the near future with 76.8 saying the economy will be in an equal or worse situation in a year from now.
