Egypt\'s vital waterway Suez Canal witnessed on Friday the crossing of Maersk McKinney Moller, the world\'s largest container ship to continue it\'s first voyage from the Far East to Europe, the company stated on Friday. The 400 meter-long Danish Vessel breaks the record of the Emma Maersk container ship by adding 16 percent to the height. On Friday the Maersk McKinney Moller welcomed onboard canal senior officials and the head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish, who checked the ship\'s workflow and praised the capacity of the Egyptian waterway and its employees to receive such ships. In February, Emma Maersk faced mechanical problems at the Suez Canal northern entrance after a water leak in the engine room, which could have sunk the ship.
